car is lookin sexy mike!! you sure do have good taste

haha, but seriously, i really think the all clear lenses work well.. especially those sidemarkers. i was always on the wall about drilling the fenders and all. it's weird seeing that spoiler back on there though... makes me feel like there should be a set of couple tails on there lol

anyways, i'm glad you were finally able to buy the car from me. i really didn't want to sell it to anyone else. you're right about having put a lot of work into this car yourself even when it was in my hands. we've also been talking to each other for a couple years now and i know that you knew me well and, in turn, will know where to take the car from here

... i still want my target floormats back though

of course you think the all clear lenses work well... since you did the same back in the day i was wondering when you were going to find this thread.

i really feel honored to be the one who has it now... youre the daddy of cb7tuner, and one of the main guys who helped the CB7 scene grow to what it is today, and this was the car through all of it. i think youll be happy with how it turns out, as you know we have pretty similar taste.

i hate talking to you about this car, i get so nostalgic and depressed... remember the 3am crew? mint creme filled chocolate covered york peppermint patties and the special rear mount? i miss the good old days steve...

alright guys, new wheels... been waiting to pick up a set of bridgestone potenza re040's for these before putting them on, but last week mauricio (excalibur02) got me a set of RE040's, size 225/50/17's for free... kinda beefy, but i figured id see if they fit. free valve stem and mounting+balancing by mr. larry (oneoffaccord) and i stuck it on...

                              three things:

                              1. these are Motegi MR12's, 17x7.5+40. the set of wheels i had always wanted since i first wanted a CB7. they have been discontinued for years, i was lucky enough to find a set on ebay for a great price. the manufacture date on these is 2001.

                              2. i am not happy with the overall appearance. i was expecting this though, i think light colored 17's are too big on a light colored CB7. im going to like them much more when i get the mouldings and lips painted, but as of now, i like the slipstreams better (16's). without the painted sideskirts, the car looks too thin to be rolling on top of these big wheels. when the car looks a little thicker, im going to love them.

                              3. they rub. also something i was expecting. i only have one wheel done and its on the front, the corner of the tire rubs the inner edge of the fender where the fender liner meets up with it. i am going to adjust the camber kit back a bit and roll the edge of the fender a lil, see if i can get it to stop. otherwise i guess the tires might not work out, which isnt too bad, they were free...

let me know what you all think.

                              look at the beefyness haha!

                              hmmmm...

much thanks to larry and mauricio!
