ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

to the black yellow off the distributor, or another 12v source

    Quote:
The H22's AIB circuit that opens the short, high-rpm runners in the intake manifold also gets added by tapping the black/yellow wire from the H22's plug to the same color wire that goes to the distributor in the Accord's harness. This simply supplies power to the AIB solenoid. The pink signal wire goes from the AIB solenoid back to the subharness/ECU at pin A17.

oh wow geez thx for confirming that with a strong answer i had a feeling that it hooked up like that but wasint 100% sure thx i will run a function test as soon as i get a descent day outside and again thx

If you hook them straight to a vacuum source, they will open as soon as you go near WOT, or advance the throttle rapidly, regardless of RPM.

It defeats the purpose of even hooking them up.

On the A4 Header you guys are forgetting the downpipe aswell
Its a totally DIFFERENT design, until it hits the cat
4-2-1 its the setup, 4-2 then you connect the downpipe that goes 2-1-O2 Sensor

Im about to do this swap and the the P12 ECU

Yes they sort of work, and you can use any vacuum nipple, or if one isn't free, "T" off another

Sure it did. You hook it up to a vacuum source, any vacuum source, and it'll open the IABs at WOT.

I wouldn't say totally worthless, since you'd still get efficient partial throttle, but you'd bog if you floored it at 3000 until the airflow picked up. It's not a great idea. Removing the IAB plate would be a better idea, honestly.

                    Different design than which?

The A6 is also 4-2-1, and in at least some cases, the downpipes are identical.

so just remove the IAB plate all together? wouldnt that hurt the bottom end power?

Yes, which is why you should hook it up properly, or not at all.

so i have to get a A4 downpipe as well? I just got a A4 header it looks like from a parts car that had it laying in the passenger seat. Luckily the A4 and A6 downpipe is the same as i read so all i have to do is fine one of those. do i need to get the O2 sensor that is on it as well?

There is a possibility that the bolt holes for the downpipe are not drilled the same on the A4 and the A6.

I have seen some A6 downpipes bolt up to the A4 upper manifold, but Fizzbob says he has seen some that don't.

The easiest way to avoid that problem would be to make sure you get the whole thing from the same car, or double check the patterns before you buy.

i was wondering if i can net any gains by doing this... i have a full h23 headswap on my a1 block

Since you have the H23 headswap, you should already have the H23 intake manifold... and the H23 exhaust manifold is probably better suited to the head than any F series one.
