ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

How much for a full engine tune up? Whats included? Where to go?

I was wondering how much it would be for a full engine tune up for my 1991 Honda Accord EX with 270,000 miles. Also, what would it include? (or does this depend on where i go?) And, where would you recommend going for a full tuneup , is there any places you definitely recommend?

    Thanks!

Are any of us going to be performing your tune up?

do it yourself, It wil only take 20 minutes, minus the oil change if you do one.

      Spark Plugs (NGK is best)
      Plug Wires
      Distributor Cap
      Distributor Rotor
      Maybe a oil change

Don't forget to grab a repair manual and adjust your valves!!!!

"tuned" and "tune up" are two completely different things.

And we could tell you what we paid, if any of us actually paid someone else to do such a simple thing... but it doesn't mean you'd pay anything near that. In the time it took you to make this thread, and then get responses in the last 15 minutes, you could have called 6 shops, picked one, and been halfway there already.

As said: plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, oil change, air filter, water in the battery (if it's not a sealed cell battery.) That's a basic tune up. To go further, you can do a valve adjustment, replace other fluids, and clean all ground connections.

You can do all of that yourself. Although if you're too lazy to call a shop to get your answers, I assume that's all too much work...
$200-$300 is what I found with a quick Google search. That's as much effort as you'll get from me. It's already more than you've put into it. Good luck.

You're asking on a forum with people from all around the country and world. Come on down to Virginia Beach and I'll bring you to a good shop. Otherwise like posted before just purchase what jaysson_2012 said along with a manual and get your hands dirty. It's not hard at all.
