ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

EX to SE dash swap... What am I in for...?

I've been considering and finally deciding to make a move on swapping my ex dash for an SE. What do I need to know before going into this and is it possible to make the passenger side airbag work and where do I begin to make it work?

    Thanks!

The dash it self should swap directly. You might need to grab the airbag harness also.

If you want the passenger airbag to work you will need to swap the airbag harness and airbag ECU out.

The airbag harness is seperate from the oem harness. Its been something on my to-do list for awhile but i have not gotten around to it.

I can't remember how many times someone asked me for my dash when i had my 93 SE lol.

Yaaa your going to need the harness and ECU.

Be careful when doing the swap, as if miswire it you might deploy the bag.

          you shouldn't be wiring anything

You should be unplugging the SRS harness and unclipping it from under the dash and cliping a dual airbag harness in place.

be sure to disconnect the battery when doing any SRS work.

Yes but on my car there was a pin that needed to be plugged in in order to prevent the bag from firing and the battery needs to be disconnected.

I should have worded it better...i didn't mean like re wiring....i meant like connecting everything....

            just be careful lol.

Thanks for all the help! Hoping it goes as easy as it sounds! Also, what "order" are you referring to when re-hooking everything up?

You're also going to need to weld in brackets to mount the airbag to if you want it functional.

make sure the harnesses are compatible. my 90 dx was not compatible with a 92 harness

I want my cb to have dual airbags. This must be pretty rare, I have never seen one before. Be sure to post pics or even a diy if you actually do it.
