ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22B oxygen sensors location?

    Hey folks,
I've swap my F18A to a F22B SOHC VTEC on my CB1 JDM accord. I'm getting ridiculously bad gas mileage and want to do an oxygen sensor check. I have the Haynes manual but only have specs for the F22A engines which apparently have a different location for the O2 sensor. If anyone who has an F22B engine, can you tell me where the O2 sensor is and if there is only one O2 sensor. Also, if you have any close-up pics of this engine or knows a website that does, it would be greatly appreciated if you send it to me. Thanks!

It's the only sensor coming out of your header or downpipe. Unless it's an OBD2 motor and everything was converted to that (I'm assuming you did not do the swap yourself, or you'd know where the sensor was). If it's OBD2, I THINK they have 2 o2 sensors. I'm not certain, though. Regardless, sensor sticking out of header or downpipe = oxygen sensor. The only other sensor that could go there is an EGT (exhaust gas temp) sensor, and I don't know of any cars that come with those... certainly not older Accords.

What ECU are you running? If it's not the proper one for the motor, your gas mileage would be pretty bad (and I know the F18A isn't a good motor, but why the F22B SOHC VTEC? It's a TERRIBLE motor! F22A would've been better.)

What mods do you have done? Intake, header, and exhaust generally decrease fuel economy unless you tune the ECU to work with them (in that case, the economy can be improved over stock)

Actually, the ECU came with the engine seems to be OEM after cross-checking with other F22b. Its a OBD1 (37820-POA-902). The engine is in original condition with no mods. done yet.
Unfortunatly, I couldn't find another F18A and all the F20A did not come from Japan completed with the harnesses. All the places I went to did not have any F22A. The F22B was the only engine available at the time so I had no choice.
