    Perfect albums

Okay, these are what I consider perfect albums. That means there's really nothing that would improve them. An album can't just be good or very good, it has to be just about flawless. It takes a while before I'll describe an album as perfect and I can only think of two.

    Perfect Albums

    U2 - Joshua Tree
Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA

These are some candidates... they haven't stood the test of time with me yet:

    Alice Cooper - Trash
    Rammstein - Mutter
Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual
Dead Can Dance - Towards The Within
    Rancid - Let's Go
    Deep Purple - In Rock
    Sublime - 40oz. To Freedom

I've never heard a perfect rap album but a few have come close.

What do you guys think? Any albums you think are perfect?

      Trivium - Ascendency
      Darkest Hour - Undoing Ruin
Weezer - the first album (blue)
      Pantera - Cowboys From Hell

not many people like those bands except for weezer and pantera...very few people dislike them because it's hard not to respect those two albums.

Mutter is probably going to make it to the list eventually. It's so goddamned solid all the way through. Actually, everything by Rammstein is. They are one of those bands who know exactly what they are trying to do doing.

The problem with rap, in my opinion, is that there are a lot of good songs but rap albums always lack consistency. There are always a few crappy filler tracks and godawful skits that last two minutes.

I don't know the first two bands but you are 100% right about Weezer... that album is great thoughout. I haven't listened to CFH enough to judge it but I just put it on to listen to based on your recommendation

Sublime doesn't make the cut for me. It loses a lot of steam in the middle and a lot of the tracks aren't great. Pawn Shop, Ballad of Johnny Butt, Burritos, Under My Voodoo are average tracks, especially for Sublime. It's also not very consistent. They do a few dub songs, they do a few straight punk songs, they try to sound like RHCP (Under My Voodoo), and they have a few that are the normal Sublime dub/punk/ska/rap style. I think 40oz is a superior album (that's why it's a candidate on my list.)

One thing I would change about Mutter (and I already have) is replaced Feuer Frei! with Hallejuala (not the Links 2 3 4 single version, teh on that came on teh bonus Best Buy disc/Resident Evil Apocalype soundtrack.) But aside from that, its perfect. Some other albums I would say are perfect...

Sage Francis-Personal Journals (i know most people havent even heard of this guy, but if you are at all interested in the modern underground hip-hop
                  movement, you need this album)
                  Rammstein-Sehnsucht (old favorite)
Insane Clown Posse-Riddle Box (yes, they suck ass now, but this album was pure gold)
Twiztid-Mostasteless (original issue) (also suck now, but this album was fuckin' perfect)
Three 6 Mafia-When the Smoke Clears, Sixty Six, Sixty One (if it wasnt for this album, i probably would not be into rap)
Tool-Ænima and 10,000 Days (i know its brand new, but its one of the best albums ive ever heard, period)
Mushroomhead-XX and their self titled album
Marilyn Manson-Antichrist Superstar (why does everybody go downhill?)
Nine Inch Nails-The Downward Spiral (fuckin' best album ever)
Ministry-Psalm 69 (if it wasnt for this album, you wouldnt have Fear Factory, Static-X, Dope, ect)

i know I have more, ill probably update this.

Ghostyman, props to you for starting this thread.

                      I forgot to add Tool.

I constantly listen to Aniema and Lateralus. I've yet to pick up 10,000 days but I've heard some mixed reviews about it.

Soundgardens' SuperUnknown is also a really good album. I really do enjoy the 90's grunge rock though
