I constantly listen to Aniema and Lateralus. I've yet to pick up 10,000 days but I've heard some mixed reviews about it.
The only people that are giving it bad reviews are people who havent liked them since Ænima. I dont know what peoples problems are, they seem to think that a band can never top "their" favorite album. Truth is, they went kicked it up a notch, hell, they kicked it up 20 notches. While Ænima might be a timeless album, in terms of song structure, production, and just sheer musical skill, 10,000 Days is light years ahead of Ænima.

Bon Jovi - Keep the Faith (a lot of good songs from this band, but this CD probably saved my life a time or two).

                    Metallica - Black

Pretty much most of Bad Religion's albums

                    Same with Social Distortion

Green Day - Dookie (apparently a common favorite)

                    Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

Bone Thugs n' Harmony - I was simply ASTOUNDED the first time I heard them rhyme.

                    Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
The OFFICIAL how to add me to your ignore list thread!

                        Pink Floyd

I see a lot of support of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'. I'm glad to see there are more people who like the world's greatest band. The thing is, for me, I hold Pink Floyd to a higher standard than anyone else because nearly everything they have done is brilliant.

The reason I didn't list any Pink Floyd albums is that the list would be dominated by them...

The Final Cut (their most under-rated album by far)
                        The Wall
                        Animals
                        Wish You Were Here
                        Division Bell
                        Delicate Sound of Thunder
                        A Momentary Lapse of Reason
                        Pulse

I even think that the live album "Is There Anybody Out There (The Wall Live)" is superior to the studio version in a lot of respects. The opening of Run Like Hell is teh pure sex.

I know I post it in every music thread but-

Coheed and Cambria: Second Stage Turbine Blade
Coheed and Cambria: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3
Coheed and Cambria: Dear Apollo I'm Burning Star IV: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness.

I also agree with anyone who mentioned Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Rush, and Brand New. Also Steve Miller Band: Young Hearts, and Tom Petty: Wildflowers

I have to agree with you. That CD (or tape, in my case) is great. I rode my bike 3 miles to the store when I was like 13 to buy my very first tape... It was between Boyz II Men and Bon Jovi. I still admire Boyz II Men, but I chose Bon Jovi. I think that decided the direction I would take musically from there on out.

From there, I went to Metallica... when they weren't heavy enough anymore, I went towards death metal. (speaking of which... here are 4 more...)

                                Death - Symbolic
                                Death - Individual Thought Patterns
Cynic - Focus (INSANE musicianship here...)
Samael - Passage (moonskin gives me chills every time I hear it)

From death metal, I went to black metal... it's spookier, and I like the whole playing guitars in the snow thing

I started playing jazz in my senior year of highschool, and that somehow got me into ska... I liked horns. Couldn't start a ska band for the life of me, but I still loved the music. Ska comps were my favorite things of all... Misfits of Ska II is still in rotation in my car.

The Hippos - Heads are gonna roll

When starting a ska band wasn't working, I got into punk... it's a lot easier to get 4 guys together to play punk than it is getting a bunch of flaky horn players together!

So yeah.. lots of stuff from me. I'll keep adding stuff here!
