f20a : 1992 Accord EX

Greetings. Did some upgrades on my local-assembled carby '92 Accord EX. Engine is retiring. Bought the front half of a JDM Accord-Si for US$1000/- plus another US$500/- for labour. Surprise to known it is known as CB-7 in the USA. It is known as SM-4 here in Malaysia and I believe it is known as CB-3 in the Japan market.

Engine/Exhaust:
- JDM Accord-Si F20A 5-Speed manual transmission
- Stock exhaust

Wheels/Suspension:
- JDM Accord 15" alloy Rim(surprise to see "Made In USA")
- Michelin Energy XM1 195/60/15
- JDM Accord-Si suspension

Brakes:
- JDM Accord-Si disc brake for front and rear
- DOT4 Brake Fluid

Exterior:
- JDM front and rear bumper
- JDM grill and trunk with spoiler
- All JDM lightings
- All JDM complete doors

Interior:
- JDM Accord-Si Dashboard and steering wheel
- JDM Accord front seats (anyone knows what year does it belong to?)












Future Plans:
- H22A engine upgrade
- JDM sunroof conversion

sm4 is the dealer code here in the u.s. say we go to buy a ball joint or an upper control arm, the part number is xxxxx-sm4-xxx.
sr3 is eg civics, pr4 DA tegs. so on and so forth.

Man I had no idea the SM4 was another Chassis Code.

Ive seen it stamped in the engine bay and parts of the car.

what color does your gauge cluster light up? i knew there was an amber-numbered version of it. your ride is hot, but you have an advantage over us here in the US. you get the JDM goodies first. silver cb's are DOPE !

Tnx a lot for all the comments. Try to keep the car as basic as I can. Not going to lower the suspension as potholes are common at this end! See if I can answer some questions:

Colour is a Dupont Silver with Dupont lacquer. Forgot on the colour code but I have a few praises over here on the silver paint and lacquer. Try to keep the car bright due to the heat all year round.

Tnx for the explanation. Indeed we also refer to SM4 for buying spare parts over here. As for the seats, I am not sure what model that it came from. I would suspect the seat comes from JDM Accord family. They have good support and comfy. Still trying to find out exactly what model does the seat belongs to.
