2008 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Limited Edition, road ready prep

the '08 challenger arrived today at work today. it was pulled in for a road ready preparation and road test. i got to ride in the backseat during the road test and it's pretty roomy compared to the '70's model. but it was a dog compared to the srt-8 grand cherokee. the driver had the pedal smacked to the floorboard and we were going no where. big let down. anyways, here are some pics i took... enjoy.







so far, imo this car has nothing going for it except for the looks and options. as far as power, it feels de-tuned.

suggested retail is about $41,000, our market value bumps it up to $61,000 out the door

i like the style of it but if it doesn't have the power then no sense in paying that much for a car that can get beat by a car that costs half as much.

it's built on the LX (300/Magnum/Charger) platform. the interior is essentially that. i wish they would've used more of the old style for the console. i hear '09 will be better though

40 grand is a bit much for a coupe though you can get a Mustang for nearly half that price.
