My newly painted wheels
I had a set of nice (but sort of boring) 14" x 6" OZ alloys That came with my CB when I bought it. They had been sitting around for 3 years. I decided I wanted to have an inexpensive set of white wheels. I've just been digging white wheels lately. Anyway...here is a brief photo documentation of the project start to finish.
scuff-sanded and clean, waiting for it to start ![]() everything masked ![]() ![]() Used Duplicolor wheel paint and wheel clear ![]() ![]() here's the backside of the wheel. I left some of it aluminum to save material and time. ![]() Here's the finished face of the wheel. It's fairly glossy after wet-sanding with 1000, 1500, & 2000 grit. Then rubbing compound and polishing compound. ![]() ![]() Last edited by typhoon; 08-09-2008 at 09:02 PM. |
