Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel mod for 9293 CB7s!

I was scrounging aroud my local yard the other day when I came across an Acura Vigor. It had a pretty nice black leather interior...and then I saw this leather wrapped wheel. Since I've got a 93, I decided to see if this 93 Vigor wheel would work on a 92 Accord at the JY, and it DOES! So for those that want a leather wrapped wheel...instead of spending money to get it wrapped...all you need to do is get one from a 92-94 Vigor! Oh and the Airbag I used is from a 4th gen. (92-96) Prelude....the material matches the Leather surround PERFECTLY w/o any gaps in the trim yet retains the HONDA badging. Thats kinda why I did that, so I wouldn't have a vinyl covered Airbag w/ the leather outer part of the wheel.

^^^pic of the wheel in the Vigor

^^^pic of the newly installed Leather wrapped Vigor wheel...fits PERFECT w/ no issues..horn buttons work and even the Vigor Cruise Control buttons work. Airbag from the prelude is also a direct fit and uses the stock plugs and everything

^^what the Vigor buttons also has is a Cancel button in between the two set and decel buttons. No extra wiring is necessary, it plugs right into the Accord plug, same exact plug and mounting location. And this extra cancel button even works! idk how but it does!

Job well done and good research.

See, I'm not an A-hole all the time. Just when you deserve it.

I had the lucky option of installing a factory leather wrapped steering wheel from 91 Accord SE, black leather. Very nice addition, good grip and it will never have the sponginess at 12 o'clock effect by design.

Your option for 92-93 cb7s and mine for 90-91 is best IMO for quality. Putting leather wrap on our stock cb7 wheels that are not leather, will only get that sponginess effect in time (especially in hot weather climates).

Ya mine has that spongy feel and is worn out big time at 12oclock. This is perfect because its a slight upgrade but you can keep all the stock accessories.

i would assume so since all the plugs are the same.

if you need a good one...my old one is in PERFECT shape, no sponginess whatsoever or any gouges or anything lol. PM me if youre interested...I used to hate that spongy feel, its almost like it makes the car less predictable since its so "loose" when turning.

Oh yeah it works just fine. I was skeptical at first since I thought more electrical connections or whatever was needed, but then I compared the stock CB7 cruise to the Vigor cruise and the CB7 one has a dummy cover over the hinge where the cancel button goes on the Vigor.

It just feels different when i drive now...more precise kinda.
