As the title says, which one flows better? Thanking about just rebuilding my F22 (popped timing belt, drinks oil, eta) and was wondering if a H22 head swap would be worth it, or should I just get another F22 head. I’m going for a high-rev N/A build with N20 if that helps.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

H22A vs. F22A head flow?

Absolutely. The H22 head in stock form has no trouble "keeping up".Originally posted by 92jdm View Postthis is probably some of the worst information ever handed out on this site
The issues with a headswap are usually due to installer error. Plus, the H22 head on the F22 block would result in a lower compression "h22"... which would achieve minimal gains at best over the stock F22A head. A properly modified F22A head will make more power than a stock H22A head on the F22A block, and there is far less chance of installer error, since the F22A head is made for the F22A block. No oil and coolant passages need to be blocked or modified.
The H22A's valve angle isn't as ideal as the F22A's, and the port design is a bit more restrictive due to the design of the VTEC system. The H22A head flows very well, but the F22A head offers plenty of potential.

G22
H22 head on an F22 block results in lower compression as stated before. This is ideal for a boosted application, hence the popularity of the G22-turbo.
If you only aspire to be naturally aspirated, then look into a full H22 swap. If your main seduction is forced induction, then look into the G22 or F22 boosted, c.f. Bisimoto.1997 Honda Accord EX-V6:

From what I understand the head swap is pointless. Esp. considering the kind of power you can make from an F22A. 175 whp, stock block for way less than what it would cost to swap an H.

Good idea.
Building a full F22 or full H22 is the best bet. The "G22" (I hate that... there IS a G series engine, and it has nothing to do with the F or H series) is pointless. The H22 head is no better for boost than the F22A head... you're only increasing your chances of blowing something up... which turbo already makes more likely! (this is mainly in response to James Matteu's post)
