90_cb7 : 1996 Nissan Maxima SE

I sold my CB the beginning of this year and bought this Nissan Maxima. Its a 5 speed had 250k on it when i got it. Did a full tune up: Starter, EGR Valve, Mass Air Flow Sensor, Spark Plugs and i think thats all. It had some front end damage so i replaced the bumper fenders and hood.

And this is how it sits now. 2 windsheilds and 3 hoods later lol. and i'm painting the fenders next weekend

V6. No Maxima ever came with a 4 cylinder.

yep from 2.7 V6 in the 80s to 3.5 02+

I've had 2

A fully loaded 5spd 95 SE
And a stripper 5spd 99 SE-L

Decent cars. A little sloppy handling-wise compared to the CB, but the V6 more than makes up for it. I would def go for the swap and some Nex GTs. Good pick up.

i was debating between Nex and Ksports and i'm leaning more towards nex. decently priced and ride good from what i've heard

So bad

Nex has revised their design, and go with twin-tube shocks over the monotubes of other brands. Plus the GTs are 4-way adjustable, which is actually better than the BS 64 way adjustable types from other brands for various reasons.

I had the SSs (non adjustables) and they were OK... not exactly Koni grade shit but decent. Not to whore up ur thread, but here's how my car looked:

Decent car. Only things I hated were the shitty shifter, coils that kept going out, awful rear beam suspension and axles that kept going cause I was slammed. But that's all minor shit. Way more refined than a CB and pretty good looking too. Good pick up!
