Should Members Ride section be locked to people with minimum post count for privacy??
In Light of one of our most loved cars on this site recently being stolen and partially stripped, and having seen it happen locally to where I live a while ago, I want to throw and Idea out for admins that many of us might like:
Make members ride section of the forum closed to non members and people under a certain post count (10-25?). This is rather a home for a lot of us among family so to speak, so thread's talk about hang out spots and where we work etc. People who really want to show off their cars also have cardomain, myspace for photos etc, which gives much less info to would be thieves. If enough people like it, and any admins think its a good Idea I'm +1 for members ride section privacy. |

I'm against the requirement to view members rides. It's up to US to show what information can be learned from the site. If you take a picture with your license plate or where you're from or something that may be bad. That's up to you to edit out.
Making it so that people need 10 posts to view won't do anything. A determined thief will get the required posts and the problem will remain. |

You know I was kind of thinking the same thing, but at the same time the MR's are inspiration for new comers. I completely agree with what you are thinking though.
