ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    exhaust ideas?

im looking to get exhaust for my accord but dont know where to go really. i dont want a tinny sounding cheap exhaust. but am only looking to spend around $300. would i be better off getting a cat back system or headers and everything? ive been looking at the megan racing headers and maybe a cheap cat back system off ebay. any ideas?

Ebay isn't really a good place for any proformance parts, so maybe if you're just trying to replace stock headers, Ebay headers would work. Bisimoto headers are the best from what I've heard but they can cost quite a bit. Megan has pretty good headers, i would go with them. They're pretty good proformance wise and they should be in your price range

Thats the way I went yrs ago with an ebay cat back, and still have it todat minus the muffler that cane with it. May I suggest a resonater if you get the header with the cat back cause it will be loud and raspy, and if you can find one ebay with 2.25in pipe.

Price the cat back on ebay and at a good muffler shop.

right i"ve found megan cat back systems on ebay for like $430 roughly. i'm thinking of just going with that until i have alittle extra money to get headers as well. if i"m going to do it i want to do it right. i"m on a tight budget tho, but want to do what i can. this is after all my daily driver. lol

I just ordered up a OEM replacement exhaust setup for 158 shipped. I was going to go with an ebay cat back system but I want this rig fairly quite for now.

An A4 header with stock cat, 2.25 piping and your choose of muffler and maybe a resonator if you like. Should round out about to 300, depending on your muffler choice.
