    gas/temp gauge problems

my gas and temp gauge stopped working the other day and i dont know what the problem is. i have bought 2 different gauge clusters in the past week and that still didnt fix it. so the only thing i can think is maybe for the gas is the fuel sending unit but as far as the temp i have no idea. please someone help me so i can fix it.

The gauges will just read what input is being sent to it. No input = no reading. Find out what the temp and gas gauges have in common and trace it back. A wiring diagram will probably come in handy.

for the temp, could it be the temp sender thing that goes into the left side of the head? I think thats what it is, but dont quote me on it

i was thinking it could be the temp sensor on the top or bottom radiator hose but if the sensor was bad wouldnt it throw a code?

did you mess with any of the screws on the gauge clusters? because those screws act as a ground to get the signal through to the temp/gas/speedo/tach. if they are not tight it would not complete the circuit.....or yeah you could have a bad temperature sending unit, which is located on the thermostat housing....or you could have a bad fuel sending unit, which is located under the backseat inside the gas tank.
