I started fitting rear handles on the front doors.I looked the DIY on here but it lacked a bit on fitting the handle.

It fits like this before modding.

The mounting posts are deeper and angled different that the front.

After grinding down the posts it still sticks out

The actual cutout in the door is deeper on the rear than the front. The handle is also a tiny bit wider all the way around.

I ended up grinding down the sides and bottom as well as the back side

I also ended up grinding some plastic that was rubbing the outside skin

The lower lip on the opening was also causing the handle not to fit on the bottom so I ground it off.

The bolts holes are also off a bit so I filed them

After opening up holes and grinding lower lip

Now it sits flush

Shave hood squirters

Since the holes are still fairly small, I decided to just build up weld on top of weld to fill the holes. I think it is better to drill out the holes with a step bit and make round filler pieces to weld in but I wasn't that motivated.

I might've posted here before the October revert, but this car is looking really nice so far and I love all the little mods you've done here and there. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

I rigged up some window switches from a legend that light up

I filled the hole for the window lock and molded in a newer mirror switch from a RSX

Adding leds to the handles that will light up when alarm is disarmed/dome light is on. Once the handles are painted, the wires will glued in

Added a light to a non lit trunk switch

Interesting little project you've got going on there. It looks familiar to something that's on my current agenda.

Tippey764 is seemingly always having me check Legends for parts and he mentioned this briefly one time as something he would like to try. So, I stole the idea. Not to take credit, just because I like doing stuff like this.

2 door lighted switch hybrid looks like a lot of work. The four door one looked to be a pain so i just put the whole legend switch in but you cant do that with the two door.

Unless of course you add the power rear vent windows. Then you can have an excuse to use the four door switch.

My crv has only the auto switch illumnated but had empty spots to add leds for the other switches. Finding switch caps without paying for a whole switch has become very difficult. The only caps that fit are crv and 4 door civic master switches. The 2dr civic and rsx caps look the same but are different. It will take 3 switches to get the caps

It is indeed a lot of work. But it's pretty self-explanatory and not something I have to think very much on. It's on hold for now while I wait on 1mm shrink tubing and white 3mm LEDs to come in the mail. Have you been using SMD LEDs for any of your proejects?

As for those CR-V switches, it looks from the picture like if you had an extra LHD switch and two more RHD switches then you could make all of them with the auto function. The CB7 one does not look that easy unfortunately. On F-bodies I know you can add the auto-down switch function to the passenger switch on the driver's side also. And I'm pretty sure that one Acura RL switch would give you all the caps you'd need.
