    Wiring CD5 rear signal/sidemarkers

Alright, well i just tried wiring my CD5 rear sidemarkers and FAILED... Theres only 2 wires on the pigtail so i figured if i matched up the power with power and grounded the black they'd come on but obviously i was wrong. How did i mess this up?? Anybody wire them a diff way?? Heres a couple pics. Thanks!!!

I just tapped the power to the license plate wiring loom. This way the lamps always turn on with the front corner lamps etc. like a CD accord.
