ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

clear coat was peeling off and was anoying me,so sanded it down and rattle canned it.my interior is brown, and outside was painted a custom brown before so decided to do a flat brown.plus i wanted to be different to everyone else that does flat black or olive green.

Not bad at all. Tho I think u couldves saved more cash using the .99 cent brown. They have it in flat also.

The hardest part is the hood. Because its a large surface area.

that for damn sure,i was getting so frustrated with the hood, and it was super hott outside so it started to get drips on the hood.i gotta color sand it and hit it with a couple more coats.

everyone at my job liked it.they said it made them want to eat a snickers or tootsie roll. lol

+20 offset is so perfect on a cb.

Did your spray can have a fan style pattern? Or was it the kind that goes all over the place..?

Also invest in a spray can holder gun. Makes it a lil bit easier to hold the can. Shit is like 2 or 3 bucks. Just grab one.

Edit-why do u have wood up? To stop some wind??? Rule1 neverspray on a windy day. You will waste paint, and u will waste paint!

I remember I sprayed in the wind and all that shit just smacked me rite in the face... my facial hair had paint on it, arms, hands lol.

Btw some laten cheap gloves won't hurt either to use. I don't like paint on my hands, unless u plan to huff it afterwards

Could have atleast shaved the plate holes if that's where you're going to put it.

Yea the wood was up to help block the wind.I woulda waited for another but I'm always busy and this was pretty much my only time for a while.yea I want to look for a fan style tip.

And this isn't a finished project,I'm having the pros cover up the license plate holes and the antanna hole.I'm just doing this to hold it over till I get a real paint job.

Major props on the rattle can job. I rattle canned my hood and roof and it came out pretty good. Took me a very long time to sand the areas tho.

not bad, i have been thinking of painting my car with a rattle can. how long did it take you in the prep time and spray time? i wouldn't be painting mine a flat color though.
