ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    f20b with f22a6 tranny

Hey I have a cb7 and I was wondering if the f22a6 tranny would fit the f20b? If not what would be a good tranny for the f20b?

Any H or F series (except s2k) trans would bolt up.. F series trans have longer gears and H are shorter.

For 9 years, people on this forum have been saying any FWD F or H series transmission will bolt to any FWD F or H series engine. It was true before that time. It was true for that whole 9 year period. It will continue to be true. Forever.

Yes, it will bolt up. Yes, you will drop out of VTEC every single time you shift.
The transmission that originally came attached to the engine would be your best option, as the gearing is correct for the engine's powerband. An H22 transmission would be your next best option. H23 after that.

Thanks because I have a f20b block and was just thinking of using my stock f22a6 transmission but probably go with the h22 transmission if it works better

Searching will REALLY be beneficial. This stuff has been answered many times in the past, and much of it can be found in the "sticky" threads in the Swaps section.

You will need to tap new holes in the transmission casing. Easy enough to do.

Also, since you're a noob... what are you planning on doing for engine management (ECU) for that F20B?

I would just get hondata or neptune from the start. All the big honda ecu company's that sells chipped ecu's. all have shitty basemaps so save you money and get it tuned. I have 3 useless chip in my glove box at the moment.
