    Custom Strut / Firewall Brace

Been working on this for past couple weeks.
Took a lot of measuring, cutting, welding, cutting, drilling, grinding, re-welding, etc.
I used a lot of highschool math (SOH CAH TOA baby!).
As far as I know, this is the only strut / firewall brace on a 4th gen accord.

wow that is a GREAT piece you got there buddy! what did you use to brace it to the firewall? this should tighten up the chassis.

SOH CAH TOA is your friend for life. you'd be surprised how often you may use it.

Looks good and all.. how did it feel after install??

the only thing that itches at me is the fact that its not entirely equal length.. the passenger side tubing that goes towards the firewall is made up totally different than the drivers..

if u look at neuspeed's 4pt bar.. ull see that both sides are entirely equal.. good job though none-the less.. why didnt u make both sides equal?

edit.. also.. since u made an opening in the arm that connects to the strut circles.. it would be optimal for u to add braces from that piece to the other 2 nut area's... just to reinforce it.. i dunno im anal about shit like that..

there are two M6 bolts that stick out from the firewall. I fastened a plate to those.

the reason it's not symmetrical is because of the clearance issues. the peice on the passenger side has to clear the TB, whereas the drivers side does not.

i was worried about the openings as well. but i tested the strength and rigidity before and after i made the holes, and there was no noticeable difference.

i havent had a chance to really test it yet, i just put it on a couple hours ago.

props on the work. it looks great in there, especially w/ the H22; but wondering if that would fit my H22 coz of the skunk2 IM ??
anyway, if you decide to mass produce this chassis bar, my $$$ is waiting for you

then id consider this ur first stage.. make another one with both ends symetrical if there is clearance problems with the tb.. make the bend identical on the passagener side.. for added strength u could do a straight bar in the "triangle"
