ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

I cant get rid of the "brake lamp" light!

I have this annoying light on in the dash. the red one under the car picture. I was too lazy to check for a few months and it was just too cold.

I just installed newer tail lights, gaskets, and bulbs, and I finally checked the upper brake light and it seemed burnt. so I replaced it.

I thought that would take care of the dash light but it's still on. Everything seems connected.

I have an oem spoiler with the brake light so that lights up but the one inside the car doesnt. maybe the guy that hooked it up disconnected the wiring or something, I dont know. I also dont know if the spoiler was a dealer installed iten or not.

Recheck the wiring. There is a black box somewhere in the tail light that monitors it might wanna check that out. Search around and you should find it. And for the second poster your sig is way too big.

If your high mounted third brake light is out (inside the car, not the spoiler LED) that will set off the (check taillight) light in your dash. This happened to me when I had my black Accord.

yeah thats what im talking about, the light seemeed burnt out, but the filament looked ok. I replaced the bulb anyways and no change. everything else works good. all tails, brakes, spoiler, besides cabin light.

and the black box (light sensors) seem to work since all the other lights work good.

did you say he hooked it up to the 3rd brake light, or did he hook it up to one of the other brake lights, and disconnected the 3rd light.... or is that working.. a bit confused.

if it doesnt see the 3rd light.. i would presume it'll come on thinking the light is dead.... ?? or did i just completely miss something here.

Im saying that I dont know whats wrong. every light works except the 3rd brake light inside the car. I have an oem spoiler and those brake lights also work.

I also replaced the 3rd brake light bulb and that didnt work.

so another poster said a wile back that he had to re connect a unhooked connection or something. maybe while the spoiler was installed that what happened, the installed unhooked the cabin light so only the spoiler light will work. I dont know.

this issue has been with me since i got the car 4 months ago, so I havent done anything to create the situation.

                high mounted brake light

I've had the same problem and have finally narrowed it down to 1 problem. It's the damn high mounted brake light. I have replaced the bulb and it still did not light up! I have tried to get access to the wiring to no aveil. I removed the rear speakers to get the hight-mounted brake light hub off from the upholstry and failed. I am lost. Has anyone had this problem? And if so, what can I do? Is it the wiring? And yes I have tried 3 different bulbs and believe me they all work. This is too frustrating!

Check your brake light sensors on the taillights. You connections might be corroded.
