Seriously, its too long to post. Go buy a Haynes manual and youll have every step written out for you, pics and all. If youre H swapped, get a Chilton, if you want Prelude-specific instructions. Basically, its disconnect everything from the trans, drop the bar that runs under the engine, drop the downpipe (both of those so you can access some bolts), unbolt the pass.side traction bar, drop the trans and make sure you have 17mm and 10mm 12 point sockets and a good torque wrench.

FYI: The reason people ask for DIY's even when its in the super cool 'based on a complete tear-down' manual is because someone may have found a faster, more up to date, or simpler way to do something, and might be able to make it more straight forward with pictures, etc. cause we are specialists in the cb7 chassis.

That is so true, actually, because the Haynes manual sometimes is TOO thorough: sometimes it makes you take things apart that you don't really need to take apart just to get to the one thing you really actually want to take apart. A lot of their steps are redundant or unneccessary. You'll get the job done, no doubt, but there are faster ways to do some of the stuff without having to disassemble every single part, needlessly.Originally posted by starchlandFYI: The reason people ask for DIY's even when its in the super cool 'based on a complete tear-down' manual is because someone may have found a faster, more up to date, or simpler way to do something, and might be able to make it more straight forward with pictures, etc. cause we are specialists in the cb7 chassis.
For the record, though, it's still good to have a Haynes.

hardly anyone asks for diy for those reasons.Originally posted by starchlandFYI: The reason people ask for DIY's even when its in the super cool 'based on a complete tear-down' manual is because someone may have found a faster, more up to date, or simpler way to do something, and might be able to make it more straight forward with pictures, etc. cause we are specialists in the cb7 chassis.
The main reason people ask for diy's is because they don't know how to do shit and are too lazy to go buy a manual.
If you really care, then do it yourself. You can't go wrong with a manual. Once you do it, you'll know if there are easier/faster ways to do it. When people ask, you either choose to share your hard work, or not.
I'm not gona go out of my way for some lazy ass noob.
