This will be hard to with with pics because this was done over a decade ago, I did this DIY because I needed to change the bulb. but here we go.
THIS HAS BEEN ON MY 4DR FOR 10 YEARS AND IT HAS NOT MELTED AT ALL
things you need:
-Slices
-Dual filament bulbs
- A universal Harness Like this one *NOTE* Check the harness you get. This one that i took a picture of IS a little different then the one I'm using so check to make sure that the bulbs will fit in the harness correctly.
-some wire
1. Take out bumper markers
2. Splice into the corner marker that always stays on.
3. Take that wire down to the bumper wire in what ever fashion you desire.
4. Put a bulb into the new Harness and take the wire from the corner makers and see what filament Lights up. I used the filament that is 'taller' to stay always on and the "shorter' on to blink.
<-Video
5. take the original wire went to your bumper lights and use that one for the 'shorter' filiment and splice it all and use the Little ground flap
6. take the flaps on the harness and bend them in to fit the hosing hole of the bumper lights. and BOOM your done.
so easy I did it on my 4dr also
