ok i need help connecting my rear mount tranmission stay...... the hole is to low and in front of the bracket... i jacked my motor up and it was still infront of it .....how to i move the motor back to get in hole.....ILL go take a pic
On the bracket that goes to the mount, there are four bolts not including the bolts on the brace. If you loosen the bolts it may give you enough adjustment room to get it into place. Then just make sure you torque them back down. The top bolt has a nut on the other side of it, but the other three bolt straight into the tranny, and the bottom bolt is indented a little bit and isn't to obvious at first. You also need to break it loose with the ratchet, but that's all the rest of the way you need your fingers because the socket will get stuck on some brace down there.
thanks ill try this.....i didnt think anyone new what i was talking about..
I actually kind of chuckled when I saw this thread because I had just gotten done cleaning up from changing my rear mount when I came across it. I had a similar problem, I couldn't get the two lines behind the mount broken free so I had to take off the bracket entirely.
Do know what the torque specification is for those 3 bracket bolts and the main largest bolt that slides through the mount? It isn't in the Haynes manual and the torque specs for our mounts would be great for us cb7 enthusiasts
