ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

how to set up 2 amps?

I just did my install yesterday. I have two amps also. I ran 2 gauge wire from the battery to a distribution block. I then ran 4 gauge to each amp. The distribution block is like a "splitter". It has one input for large gauge wire from the battery and two or more outputs to run power wire to the amps. That's how I did mine. It works fine. Some people may do theirs differently though.Originally posted by loudlowaccordhey i got 2 amps and a couple subs i wanted to hook up but i dnt know how to set up both amps can anybody tell me stuff like do i run 2 12vlt wires from the battery for each? or do i cross the 12vlt from 1 amp to the other and same with the ground wire what do i do? basically i need to know if i have to get 2 of each wire or just run the wires from 1 amp to the other?

Yeah upgrading the big three really makes a difference in a lot of things. Especially if your stock grounds have loose connections.Originally posted by sam o nela^ Yup he's pretty much got the simplest way right there!
Have you upgraded the Big Three yet? If not...you probably should do so as well...

What size amplifiers are you using? Are you using one for substage and another for full range speakers?
Your main question was already answered, but I'm concerned that your at the very start of your car audio knowledge and maybe needing further advice.
Use suffucient gauge wiring from the battery back, using two amps odds are good you need at least 4awg back, perhaps larger and keep the fuse as close to the battery as reasonably possible. Use the same sized grounds, and keep them as short as possible as well. Big3 is certainly great advice as well, being battery to alternator connection, battery to chassis ground, and engine to chassis ground. Although opinions differ, I prefer to use a fuse in my wiring going from the alternator to the battery. Best of luck~!
