Field Training (3 days of little to no sleep going on simulated missions day and night plus protecting the FOB (the base) We slept in full clothes with our boots and equipment so we were ready to go at all times in case something happened:

I couldn't make up my mind what sucked worse..... the cactus or the fire ants? I'll let you decide:

This is about how we all felt at the end of each day:

But there was also time for a little fun:

Some of the buildings and landmarks that we infiltrated during missions. Just imaging sneaking up on this village full of insurgents with bombs and fully automatic weapons that want to kill you during the middle of the night with terrible visibility and trying to neutralize the threat and stay alive without killing any of your buddies in the process. It was an experience to say the least! :

            Some "confidence building" activities:

...and the "confidence building" activities are never complete until someone needs stitches :

I have more pics but I'll probably hold off for a little while until I post them. Maybe get some new, better ones while I'm at it. I really don't have many of MD yet except for some of one crazy night out partying in DC but that's a different story. More pics will be coming soon!

                    from the GoArmy website

                    35N - Signals Intelligence Analyst

Analyzing foreign communications and non-communications helps our military experts better plan our nation's defense. That's where a Signals Intelligence Analyst is most valuable. They perform analysis and reporting of foreign communications and non-communications and relay that information by producing combat, strategic and tactical intelligence reports.

Some of your duties as a Signals Intelligence Analyst may include:

                    * Gathering, sorting, and scanning intercepted messages to isolate valid intelligence
                    * Performing initial analysis to establish target identification and operational patterns
                    * Identifying, reporting, and maintaining Signal Intelligence and Electronic Order of Battle information
                    * Maintaining analytical working aids and databases to support target collection, identification, and location
                    * Using technical references to analyze communications and non-communications information
                    * Operating automated data processing equipment for Signal Intelligence collection, processing and reporting
                    * Performing operator maintenance on surveillance systems, organic communications equipment, light wheeled vehicles and power sources
                    * Assisting in the emplacement, camouflage, and recovery of surveillance systems and/or associated equipment
                    * Preparing technical and tactical intelligence reports
Some of that is really vague and there's lots of other cool things we get to do not listed in the description. I can honestly say that I love what I do and I'm good at it
