Hopefully your friend has an idea of what it is going to take... I don't think this can be done with $200 worth of materials alone... unless he has a LOT of stuff laying around to work with!

the $200 if for labor not parts, i say youd be looking at around another $1000-1500 for parts, unless likeJonas said he has alot of stuff laying around, but even then itll be $2-400 for the axles to be custom made, i say go for it, youll deffinatly be original

hopefully the buddy is planning on parts as well.

i fear that this project might get started and never finished... to the op, make sure to plan everything out before you go dropping cash. you dont want to run out of money, or do something that can't be undone.

Thanks for all the comments bad and good....lol
Anyways the job its gonna be done, i was just checking oppinions to see what you guys think about it. My boy its charging me $200 on labor, the wire harness he's gonna do it, the mounts too, the axles? we got a shop close by that do customs racing parts for projects like that. If they put jet turbine in cars or rotary engine with an mr2 tranny on a toyota tercel fwd, a 83 toyota with a s2000 swap, why i cant do a b20cb9? just need to know the right people to do custom jobs and a lot of patience. Thanks

it seems that you have the connections, so i wanna see this happen!

i'd rather see rwd though. lol even after all the custom work, you'll still have a fwd 4 cylinder honda. still unique, and i'm sure the first B series in a Cb9, but its one of those things that can really only be admired by people that know what they're looking at.

I would leave it alone and get another cb and try it with that rather than a waggon. Its like adding more weight to a truck thats already carrying a load. So slow pointless to pull.

the wagon has a couple hundred pounds over the sedan. not a big deal. if that really matters than the motor should just go into the lightest civic possible.

the whole point of this is to put it in a wagon.

Come on guys you dont have the fate to built a car, be original?. The h22 doesnt belong on a cb, gsr on a civic, why can someone say yeah!! its possible and if its good i would do it too.
All we have to do its be creative, I said im putting that swap on the cb9 and boy!!!!!! it will be there. It could run good or bad who knows but my point is, creative, plus like i said b4 the motor and tranny are fully built. I dont wanna drag, i wanna cruise around and once in a while push it.
