    I need an Odyssey!

Ok, who has an Odyssey they can either give me or sell to me really cheap?
Cause the ones in this video are super clean and I'm jealous.

I used to have one. Until the head on collision at 60 mph
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

          different marketing strategies I presume

the RB1 Odyssey (the one you see in the vid and in the photos) are actually not that big on space on the inside for the average American family. yes it seats 7 (or 6.5) but that's it. not too much luggage space behind the 3rd row.

the newer RB3 (there's a grey one in the pics) isnt that much different either. same wheelbase, same architecture, different looks.

I know...but damnit, the wife would be all over the RB1. She doesn't want a "mini-van"

Man... lowered, they have the profile of a Mercedes Benz R class.

All my non-Honda friends laugh when I tell them that most Honda enthusiasts I know will drool over an Odyssey.

they must be thinking about the soccer-mom Odyssey you guys have over there.

i could park a JDM Kei-car inside one of those anytime!

Even the one we have here is better than any other minivan on the road. Toyota's Sienna is finally starting to compete... it may very well be the sportiest car in the Toyota (not Lexus) lineup at the moment! The Nissan Quest is lame, all the American minivans are lame (the Chrysler Pacifica was a cool looking thing, kinda minivanish... but it was a turd and a half!) and the Mazda5 is more of an overseas-spec "minivan"... it's more mini than most!

What do they call the US spec Odyssey over there?

We used to have the La Great as grey imports from JDM-land although they were made in Canada. But that's just it.

We do have the larger dual sliding power door Elysion here. Not really a seller, as Toyota whoops Honda in this segment with their ACR50 Estima (Previa) and Alphards and Vellfires.

It's crazy how many more models exist worldwide than the ones Toyota offers here... and they offer a ton here!

It's funny how in the rest of the world, the US-spec "mini"vans are huge! They're still relatively little in US roads. Are there any people with too much money rolling around over there in imported Lincoln Navigators or Cadillac Escalades? Would they even be allowed? Or even fit on Malaysian roads?

Oh, we do have Hummers and Escalades over here. man they hog the lanes alright. and the JDM K-cars are the same size as their doors.

and since the people owning them are too rich, they dont park underground, they park their cars at the valet.

Our state royal family loves American cars, and Aussie cars.

the regent himself is a fan of Holdens. he has a Holden SS Ute riding on 20s.

We have PLENTY of Toyota MPVs here. the newer gen Alphard/Vellfire with their ultra luxurious yacht seat

                        front passenger seat

i cant find decent pics of the 2nd row yacht seats though. they are super comfy. more like 1st class airliner seats

                        in a van

The headlights on those look like Newer TL or even TSX lights. I wonder if they are.

That green one is to die for... *drool*

                              not quite

it shares the same K24a powertrain and transmissions. CVT on the non-Absolute models.

but the chassis is different now. platform might be similar.

the transition between RA6 to RB1 was revolutionary.

the RA6 was based on the 6th gen Accord (JDM) shared front suspension and brakes, engine and transmission.

but the RB1 only shared the engines, trans and brakes. suspension is different.

the CL7 is an evolution from the CF4/CL1. both share the same suspension architecture, geometry and brakes, but dont have the same engines.

the headlights are bespoke. they even have 'Odyssey' engraved on the inner headlight details. some have the AFS option (swivelling headlights)
