Rain + crap tires + sharp curve + 1992 DX + wall = unhappy Deev

1:30am: I was coming home from my friend's house on rt295. When I approached the junction of 295 and 42 (one of those crazy cloverleaf things) I realized I was going a little too fast for the slick conditions. By that time, it was too late. My rear started sliding (crappy old tires... I should've replaced them!) I braked and tapped the gas alternately, trying to regain control... As I did that, I spun 180 degrees, facing the wrong way of the now blind curve... oncoming traffic wouldn't see me, and I wouldn't see them until it was too late. My only choice was to lock the brakes once my rear was facing the wall (figuring that would be less to repair than front end damage) and hoped for the best. Thankfully, my 50mph driving speed was probably reduced to 20 or so by the time I hit the wall... I slid into it driver's side rear first, as you can see. The bumper (as shown) ripped nearly off, buckling the rear quarter panel on the other side as well... I turned the car around after checkng things out and dragged the bumper home (about a mile and a half). No cops, no insurance companies, and no other cars involved in the accident (thankfully!) I'm completely fine. I don't even have a headache from the slight bump
I guess I now have a reason to get the rust on those panels fixed!
But the good news is:

The LX is now 100% legal thanks to that inspection sticker. No more 1994 Ford Contour sticker taped to the windshield!
