gas is bout to be out

today i went to my normal gas station and got some gas, i ask the guy when r u goin to run out of gas, he should that hes ok, to my surprise he comes out with some paper and it saids only regular for all pumps (87) then he told me everyone goin to be out of gas

Um... I think you just might be wrong. I do know that some 7-11's in my area only have premium right now because they need to get rid of it so they can pump in the ethanol based oil.

yea some stations run out but trust me this country has plenty of oil....just becuase your local station runs out means theres no gas left? pfff what a joke

correct me if Im wrong, but didnt bush just pass a law or something thats gonna allow oil compainies to stop refining oil with ethanol in it to lower prices? I heard about on the daily show. so MAYBE hes just out of the gas with ethanol in it.

o well maybe thats the problem but this is crazy first i see PA and NJ gas stations running out now its closer to home first they lose the higher grades then it hits the low grade

We wont ever run out of gas just like that. If so there would be a HUGE problem.

Sure we may run out someday but not anytime soon.

the problem is WE THE AMERICANS dont know how to conserve gas, we eat it up like candy, look at a bar graph sometime they have about average gas consumed, american's are 20x greater then anyone in the world, its sad, plus gas stations cant keep up...esp since SUVs and Trucks take most of the gas then our little cars every other day( I cant say anything i'm filling the accord 7 bucks almost daily, 20 miles to school from my house + another 15 miles to Vocational school from my high school,twice a day)....
but this whole differen't topic on oil...say we cut Iraq's 4% of oil supply they have with us, what do you think is gonna happen? can we the " american's addicted to gasoline" survive? or could we manage to screw our economy up so bad that gas would sky rocket? j/w what u guys think then i'll say the real truth....

This counrty will never run out of gas. We have very large oil reserves that the government doesn't want to use

reason being it would cost us more to build in Alaska and drill through the ice, plus thats resi isn't gonna hold us over long enough, think about it we consume like MILLIONS of barrels of oil a day, the resi is only like 200million barrels of crude oil, and we produce some million barrells aday, it wouldn't last longer then say a month if lucky.... so we buy from Canada ( 42%), SA (11%), China(2%), India(2%), Iraq(4%), south american(8%), Africa(7%)insted [dont take my %s truthfuly, i forget the actual cost of everything but iraq, but i know canada is our largets supplier]

side note:
the days of "Gas peak" are long long ago, and we will never see a gas peak ever again, for those that dont know 'Gas Peak" is where we in America have produced enough oil that prices were so resonable; 7 bucks or something would give you almost a fulltank.....
