Does anyone here know of a good architecture program thats free to download? I dont mean something as complex as Autocad, but something more simple, & quick.

Just found it in a Google search, so I have no idea of its quality...

(or, not that I would ever endorse such a thing... you could always pirate whatever you need.)

sketchup is the google thing, and i hear its good, but pretty basic/rough/simple.

travis / 93accordexcoupe would probably have a good recommendation... id be curious to know if there are any recommended free ones out there.

I enjoy dicking around on Google Sketch-up. Amazing program for free, but being spoiled by access to AutoCAD whenever I feel like making the trip to my school I do wish for measurement inputs and not just dragging until it is where you want it.

Really? Is it just type in the length when drawing a line, box, etc or is there something else needed?

Pretty much. There is a little box in the bottom right hand corner that serves as your input box.
