hows the acceleration on that thing?

my dad has a 95 sr5 4x4 4runner 5pd and man that thing is unbelievably slow.

    it is torquey though.

        That's real cool, Mike!

I like the wheels/tires you have lined up for it. Just my style as far as truck wheels go.

you gotta know how to work on them. and the 4runners were heavier.

I had one. 89 RWD auto. thing was great. i used to spank mustangs all them time in that thing. mine was the opposite of yours though mike. mine was lower with 15's and low pro tires. Wow was i in love with that truck.

I would miss it but i traded for my CB7. i think i made out.

Awesome truck though. the interior looks pretty clean though.

hah, between the gearing and the powerband of the V6, it doesnt like to accelerate. probably nearly identical to how that 4runner feels. i knew if i was going to get a truck, it was going to be the V6 4x4... sure the 4cyl would have "felt" peppier but that isnt why i bought this

the legendary 22re... i was on the fence for a little while about it, but i figure why go with another 4cylinder, i already have one of those in my accord. i cant imagine the 3VZE being a BAD motor, its a Toyota motor from the best era ever, how could i go wrong really.

im really looking forward to getting into this thing, as a new chassis... though im not sure which direction i want to go in yet, ive always seen myself with a lowered minitruck, but when it came down to buying one based on Function i had to get the raised 4x4. this is my new hauler & exploration car. someday id love to shave drop and tuck this thing though... mmmm

Im telling you, the guy i got it from said he adjusted the timing a few degrees. and after it was a million times better.

and the 3VZE is an amazing motor as well. everyone i knew would talk about how i should put a 22re in, but i drove one and it's wasn't impressive at all. even compared to my V6. when i get another one(and i will have another one) i wouldn't get one without the 3VZE. and i wouldn't put anything short of the 5VZE(Tacoma V6) or a chevy small block into it.

Nice. This is the kind of small truck I'm looking for. But I want an autotragic.
