I ask because I'm having a few issues. I have a hacked maf and finally got the base idle down to reading .25 airflow per rev, which in turn got my air fuel ratio down to 15.1, anytime i gas it or it jumps to closed loop it goes back up to 18:0:1, I've been adjusting the hz sliders with no resolve, so i basically changed my fuel slidders to richin it up untill i can figure this out, even those it still shows i am lean. My next purchase will be a wideband o2, but even still i need a little guidence with the ecmlink.
Well, I had an update. Got the car together with the AMS 5857 kit and 2.4 and just wasn't happy. I made 580whp on Sunoco 116 octane. I was less than impressed with the pump gas numbers (460) and the inability to rev to 9k RPM. So I sold the 2.4, got another 4G63 block and built a long rod two liter. Switched back to a stock frame turbo (Forced Performance Black) and I'm putting the car on E85. Bought a new Garrett core ETS intercooler to ditch the AMS part and spent the money on new GSC S2 cams and a HeadGames fully ported cylinder head and intake manifold. I'm looking for 600whp that I can daily drive. I'm waiting to get my trans back from Shep as I sent it back for a check up after last race season. My cylinder head is also about five weeks out.
As for what I do, I'm a Honda master tech. I do alright for myself. I also recently had another baby, so I have a 4 month old and a two and a half year old. So the car really has taken the FAR back burner as of late. But it's still slowly coming back together. I'll have pictures and updates soon enough.
tuned a evo8 last weekend. 42r/ams package..(head/block/goodies)..
30psi it laid down 701awhp and 586wtq.. still room to grow.. so have fun goodsir..
I'm going speed density in another week or so when I finally hit the dyno. I just had my tuner build my basemap around the MAP for the ease of breaking it in. I have a 4" intake with a recirc tube for the bov going on when the time comes.
