94 accord F22B leak from power steering cooler

I got a horrible leak coming from the metal line of the power steering fluid return cooler. Is that cooler necessary or can it be bypassed? It is loosing all the fluid in a couple days, and stop leak didn't work. I can try to pull another cooler from a junk yard, but I'm trying to avoid doing that since few 94-97 accords at the local yards have intact front ends.
