V6 Accord motor in 1940 Chevy

I need to know if there is any place that I can send my OBD2 ECU from a 2004 Accord and get reprogramed so I can use the Accord V6 motor in my 1940 chevy. The V6 motor that I am using is from a 2004 Accord I got the motor, ecu, and complete wiring harness.

      WTF haha.

you could always just do an OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion.

don't you need a transmission too? plus why does the ecu need to be reprogrammed anyway? it's not like the chevy is even fuel injected, let alone running an obd system.

but you said it's 04 engine/ECU which is OBD2b and no one that I know of reprograms them yet.

Look for the pre- 2000 ECU (OBD2a) and see what ericksracing can do for you

is there any place that will tune a V6 ECU not just the L4. The transmission i am going to use is a chevy 700r4 custom modification to the bell housing and flex plate. the motor that i am using is the J30A4

As far as I know, you don't have any other options besides the OBD2b > OBD1 conversion harness and using an OBD1 ECU.

The 700r4 is a badass trans! I'd like to know more about your setup and see some pics if I can! Are you using a lock-up converter? I guess that question and most of the other questions I have depends on if you're gonna use it as a daily driver or a track truck. You got a place that will balance the flexplate after you hack it up and re-weld it?

700R4 is alright if its built right, They tend to break down in high hp usage. I prefer the th350 personally. My teach has built a couple of 700R4 for drag cars its a good tranny just gotta know where to mod.

It would be a lot easier to get an AEM programable ECU then mess with the wiring required from factory. AEM # 30-1002 plus connector AEM # 35-2611 that'll fix er up perfect! The only other item you may need is a distributor.

LOL you need to custom it. Need to somehow make the splines line up and shit. Apparently your gonna be spending a shit load of money....Why didnt you just throw in a GM crate motor or something.

why do you need to reprogram the ECU if its the proper ECU for the motor, and you have the full harness?
