Thats also a 32valve engine. Its got a lot more flow than the 5.0 heads or the 4.6 heads. Without nitrous, it probably runs mid-low 13s and with nitrous, probably 11's if he hooks.

i had an auto tech teacher with a mustang mach1 and a 150shot. it was impressive.

Well mustangs are great from a dig especially if they hook and on spray. THe problem is highway racing that V8 has some crap for top end. Dont ask me how I know.

the compression is probably close to stock. the head has just been milled a bunch, thats it besides a cam and some minor port work.

You can find them cheaper than that. I just wouldn't trust a used kit unless I rebuilt the solenoids, and for that, I'd just buy new for 100 dollars more instead of spending an extra 60 dollars to rebuild both solenoids.Originally posted by visualpoet View PostAnd he can pick up a cheap n2o set up on CL for less than $250 almost any day.
He's on the stock bottom end. I wouldn't immagine you can rev it out too high in stock form, but maybe I'm wrong. Bumping up the rev limiter also may make you slower depending what your cam specs are.Originally posted by fatboy1185 View PostBumping up the rev limiter a tad would be more beneficial than moving to a larger tire, unless there is absolutely no traction on the 22".

I'm pretty sure he's running a stock f, (8.8:1) it should be able to handle the 50 all day, if he wants to retard timing and go to a colder plug, he should be able to hit it with 100 wet shot, as long as the motor is solid, compression is even, blah blah blah. because of problems clearing the brakes and steering knuckle on the accords, i was limited to a 15" wheel. finding a 15" wheel with the correct offset to clear anything over 22" (at the time) proved very difficult. since then, i found Diamond Racing Wheels and was able to pick up a 14" with the correct backspacing to clear the 24.5s.Originally posted by D1sclaimer View PostIf you bought slicks, why only 22inch tall? I only have an 1/8th mile near me and my best 1/8th is 8.5 on my all season tires with a 1.9 60'. I drove 3 hours to KCIR and ran a 13.3 @107 with only a 8.7 1/8th mile due to not being used to a different track and spinning.
Since then, I got an AEM EMS and I've upped the shot to a 100 so I should be quicker now. I was planning on putting in the 125 pills and seeing how it does.
What exact time did yours run then?

Thats not necessary since I ran the 1/4 too. I don't feel like driving there from Nebraska and I don't think you want to drive up here.Originally posted by kentucky accord View Postslips from 5 years ago? no. sorry man.
if you want to meet me @ a racetrack in the tri-state area (kentucky/indiana/ohio...hell even TN), i will race you. you can let me know if it really runs 13s after that.
