    I raced a 300zx na on I-40 3 times

I was driving home from work when a 90-96 nissan 300zx na pulled up behind me and then passed me and i caught up and we raced from about 70mph and i immediately pulled a car and a half and kept it till 100mph when we slowed down. Then we went again and he got the jump from the same speed because I had to downshift and I was at his door and the end of 4th i began pulling and in 5th i pulled a car at 110mph. Then after driving a couple miles down the road he passed me and hazzard lit me. I pulled up next to him and from about 80mph we went and I pulled another car on him. So I threw on my hazzards. I know he was thinking wtf!

hate to tell you but 300zx non turbos are very slow. weigh alot and the vq30 is not the best motor in the nissan family. nice kill tho :-D

Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD. You know you wanna hit it, but your afraid of the consequences.

yea they are slow but h22's are not exactly geared for the hwy. And I have a P2T4 LSD and not the more common M2B4 tranny, mine is from a 94-95 accord H22A SiR. It has shorter gears then a normal tranny because the accord had a lower output H22a in it, I do have the JDM Prelude H22A from 93. And the 300zx is still a $25,000+ sports car and I have $9,000 into my car including the car. So it's a good kill to me.

actually you can get a 300zx for 10K. My friend has a na one, and the vg30 is a GREAT motor, considering it was made in 1990! My friend whoops ass on everyone, He's beaten a 240sx sr20det, Mustang GT, NA Rx7, and me!
        VG30:
        220 hp @ 6500 rpm
        201 tq @ 4500 rpm

although it ways a lot, I wouldn't mess with them too much, unless you have the h22 or are turbo'd.

I would like to race one in the quarter and i do know the kid that owns the car. Well I know of him. the 300zx TT is a very badass car though. I would drive one with no problem because your gonna alot more girls with a 300zx over a '91 accord coupe, trust me. I like the looks alot more than the 350z

What kind of 1/4 times do you have?? Also do you have the gear ratios to your tranny?? I never heard of it before.

Thats weird man. I raced a twin turbo Z from a stop and whooped his ass. Then we got on the highway and I still whooped his ass. All I have is H22A, LSD, intake, 2.5 inch exhaust, clutch, flywheel, and a chip. They only run like low 14's.... just my 2 cents...

something was wrong with his car, or he doesn't know how to drive. The twin turbos have over 280 hp and like 250 tq. He should have smoked you.

92ex he wasn't a TT model it was a NA, I am not 100% sure that tranny came from an Accord SiR but it definately does have shorter gear ratios b/c my brother (Whyte7) has an m2a4 and he has shorter tires on his car and our cars have the same RPM's at the same speed so my gears are 5% shorter because his tires are 5% shorter sidewall. There was a 93 lude si on hondatech.com that runs 13.7 to 14.1 qtr miles all day long with full interior, I/H/E p28 chipped and no lsd, mine is an lsd. I don't know what times i can run b/c the tracks are closed til spring. can't wait though. If anyone knows of a P2T4 it would be great.

tt 300zx are heavy motha's. They only run about mid to low 14's stock. Wack for a twin turbo :thumbsdow A friend of mine has one and we play around. Sometimes I win sometimes he does

There is a TT running around midwest city here in oklahoma with a body kit, 19's and a nice paint job. So you are saying my car with all the stuff i have listed should hang with a TT model because I don't see it happening, maybe a stock one but a built one no way.

H22's not great for the HWY?! Then is the F22 a better HWY motor perhaps? Just curious...
