A fitting used on the electrode end of a spark plug. It minimizes exposure of the plug electrode to oil fouling in the combustion chamber. It raises the spark plug higher in the chamber and away from high concentrations of fouling agents.

i did this for some gains and to save my cat when i smog it.

interesting. so you put this on the pipe then the o2 sensor over it? for normal use, you would stick in into the head before screwing in the spark plug? wow!

yup! i had to bore one out so the o2 can fit through it.

so 1 bored, and one normal. the normal one goes in the bung. you obd1 guys dont have to worry about this
