since i didnt read instructions i basically just tried to figure it out on my own. that was what took forever.

Nice! Does the shifter clear the boot fine? Cuz it ate up the boot in my old CB.

As for the knob, you could put on a 14mm nut (can't remember the thread pitch) underneath it so that you can adjust how far/straight the knob sits. It's also cool cuz you'll need a wrench to take it off instead of just screwing it off (safety precaution).

Thanks to this site and the members on here particularly SoCal, I was finally able to cure the clunk noise that's been plaguing my car from day one.

At first I thought it was the left rear spring hitting the shock every time I hit a bump in the road, but that wasn't it. I then thought it was a bad wheel bearing, but it wasn't that either.

Turns out I had some loooose bolts in a key area. The bolts that hold the knuckle onto the trailing arms were so loose, I could pull on my rim and I would hear the noise. I'm glad the nuts and bolts didn't walk off at all during that time.

But now I drive a clunk free car! Ooooh this car is fun to drive again!

                    Sold, but not forgotten.
