We'll see, these tires are at 4/32nds, need new tires anyways. If they wear out a ton on the innners, I'll put the kit on. I just dont want to hear that control arm knocking ahah.
Okie dokie. BTW, you have a typo in your sig. Unpossible --> impossible.

You can't use that example, since there were no miles put on his (sticky's, not sure about Jeds) car. Miles + bad allignment = wear.

well jed liked to drive from sd to long beach on a weekly basis, so I trust his observation as well as joey's because contrary to belief he did daily drive his car also for a while lol.

i think it has to do with the low off set wheels we shared for the good tire wear.

we'll see, if those 4/32nds get blown by then I know I have a problem. I really dont want to throw on the arm knocking camber kit lol.

Well you can sort of minimize the wear if you can get the Toe set to zero, at least that's what some claim.

The newer SBC ball joint kit (with the low profile nut on top) doesn't hit, even on slammed people from what I've read.
Just stay away from the kits that extend the control arm outwards.

Anyone know how bad the knocking is?

knocking is bad when your slammed and hit a bump or pot hole. also happens making hard turns which shift the weight of the car to one side which i doubt youll do with your car.

im slammed and i still knock on hard turns on stock ball joints. (with my prelude)

i did massive driving with my SSRs and they wore out pretty good from what ive been through. you can ask yoshi aka josh, i gave him my rims with the tires and they still had meat on them.

i had the spc ball joint type camber kit and it hit on big bumps. ive seen cars come into my friends shop with the spc ball joint kits and some had holes where the ball joint nut went thru the metal..

whats wrong with the camber kits that exten the control arm outwards? Ive always ran those and they seem to work the best..

so ball joint and anchor bolt types both knock lol.

Hopefully I can get away with it since my drop isnt that aggressive. I've been reading and some site said -.5 degrees of camber is ideal for tire grip.

                              * If your toe is out of specs you will eat tires like no tomorrow.
                              * -1 degree camber i believe is still within factory specs.
These are the ones i've had the best luck with.

The problem I encountered with the Ball Joint Type is the simple fact that it pushes the arm further up because the ball joint is longer then the stock one. So when I hit a moderate bump i always would hear a knocking noise. I ended up warranting them out and sold them shortly thereafter because the boot shot broke and grease all over my tire.

i found the knocking to be very minimal at the lowest setting (set all the way towards the center of the car). i have leo's set there and she has -2deg on both sides with decent camber wear. i have the wagon set there as well though the wagon isn't as low as leo. you'll have to shave the a-arms for it not to knock after any more correction than minimum.
