Is your vss harness broke? I know when mine was broke on my coupe I had to zip tie the harness that plugs in lol and it worked.

well on the sensor, I know its getting 12v, and I connected a ground to it because the one on the harness wasn't grounding for some reason...and as for the signal wire...I have no clue if its sending signal or not nor do I know if that wire is broking between the sensor and ecu...I wouldn't know if a dvom would be able to check if there is a signal or not...I mean I just put a new vss last week too...so I asume so...

Your not wire tucked are you? I would try and source engine harness and cut the vss harness and rewire, I'm down to help.

I had an issue like that with my car....You have a wire harness that goes from passenger side harness to the VSS if that tests out good with a DVOM then its going to be an issue going from there to the car which is rare. My harness was messed up as the power and ground were both gettin 12v so they were shorted out. And it was the engine harness and it plugs to the driver side clump of plugs in that area. What I recommend is depinning the harness and rerunning the wires to the driver side plug it works wonders =D. It helped mine and I didnt have anymore issues after that.

ok I get this idea %50....

I understand the vss harness going to the ecu (passanger side)...and I assume from the ecu a signal goes to the cluster which makes the gauge moves....

but what do you mean "depinning the harness and rerunning the wires to the driver side plug"....sounds like it'll work if I knew which driver side plug lol

I didn't know that there was a plug from the driver side that works the vss aswell. I know the vss harness has three wires (12v/signal/ground/)<in that order. I have 12v, and I wired my own ground because it wasn't grounding for some reason. the only wire from the vss that I haven't checked was the signal part...when I find out which pin from the ecu that signal wire goes to I am going to check to make sure there is no break between them using the dvom.

and if it does have connection I wouldn't know how to check to see if that wire is getting a signal...some have said it should read on the dvom 0v-5v-0v-5v and soon on as the wheels turn...and some say the signal will be so fast a dvom wouldn't read it....thats where I am affraid I am going to get lost...

There is a harness that goes from the cluster into the driver side engine bay then it goes from there to the sensor. Where all the clips are resistor box should be a 3 prong plug. Technically you dont have to depin you can just cut as much of the wire as you want and just run it to the same color wire. Mine was just so messed up I just said fuck it and depinned it lol. You can cut the harness just get a few feet of wire to link it color to color and loom it back up. I forgot what the colors were but sounds like you have that covered. What I did was this I checked for power and the ground. After those two you know which is the signal. ANother thing is if you have the manual it will list the color of the wire. As I recall its a white plug but its been a while since I have looked under a cb engine cover.

^^^alright I'ma have to do this after my next try...I'ma make sure there's no break between the signal wire from the vss to the ecu....and if not I'ma see if there's any signal coming through it some how....

i just saw the cleanest cb yet, i was rollin in my lincoln, when i saw the 9091 cb, lowered, gold rims, amber corners and a stuff animal hanging from the rear bumper, i had to follow and give the thumbs up, it was so clean
