ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

yo if tires are on them then take a deck of cards and put then in the wall of the rim were it holds the tire to block over spray and just do light coats with some rim spraypaint from like autozone

You don't necessarily have to prime it, but make sure to sand it good.

              Duplicolor paint works good.

I painted my stock EX wheels with engine enamel and engine clear coat. It works great.

If you want lasting results get them power-coated.

Is this on steelies or alloys? it depends. Different paint will work better depending on the answer. My personal choice is the Krylon wheel paint for plastics/metal. Just make sure you sand the shiznat out of them. Did mine white and they came out great. Remove each wheel, mask the tires off, If you have alloys and a center cap, remove those and paint the actual wheel, then it's up to you whether or not you want to paint the caps too. Take your time with them, that's all. On steelies I suppose it wouldn't matter as much...steelies FTL

                          agreed..

Back in the day when paint was all that was around, with the right prep work you could have a local automotive collision shop spray them for you, with lasting results and much shinier than powdercoating, they just don't like rock's as much as they will chip easier.

as for raddle can paint,, it has it's place, but not on a rolling investment.

maybe a tricycle but not your car, thats like using duct tape to hold your windshield in,,, will it work yeah, but not the best of meathods.

as said before make sure you prep the crap outta the wheels...and i have seen people use rattle can paints like i have seen shops do their spraying...looks are the same whether YOU spray it or a shop does...powder coating does last longer but some don't have that as an option..if you decide to spray it yourself then i suggest some paint that will be able to get hot like engine enamel...

do not use high temp paint on your wheels.
