ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i'm not lazy and you don't have to be the one to come up with results, even when i ask i am still searching, maybe it has something to do with my search technique but i always have a hard time finding what i'm looking for and that's the point of a forum is to ask questions to get answers and i am appreciative of any help that i do get, i got a lot of questions and i want a lot of answers i look and i ask a lot of my questions are old i've been trying to gather as much info for the past two months since i have had my cb7 so i've been looking for answers before joining, you don't know the first thing about me nor the time i have put into research so you have no room to say or judge just because you know how to find info quickly i'm brand new to forums completely this is the first and only forum that i have joined or even really looked at and i'm already not that great with computers i just want for sure answers and plenty of opinions that's the whole point of a forum

if you cant think to search for "6th gen cluster" then look through the results and click on some and read those, you are lazy.

since you've started multiple threads on topics that are discussed at length and not bothered to read the rules supplied to you, for a FREE site. you are lazy.

reading the post above^^ with no punctuation i can tell you are lazy.

your not entitled to anything on here. change your attitude and if you want to be helped actually try helping yourself first.

well instead of looking up 6th gen accord cluster i looked up, "diy 6th gen accord cluster" and did not find what i was looking for go ahead and search yourself, because it only shows me 6 threads, i never said i was entitled to anything in the first place anyways as i have already said if you don't want to be the one to answer than fine, but the whole point of a forum would be to ask questions to be answered it even says that in the rules
neither of you have a camera on me to watch me and what i do so neither of you can say that i am lazy and tell me that i have not searched or not read the rules i have done both
and lastly i have been gathering info for the past two months and i have a lot of questions i want answered and i joined already having trouble finding answers so ya i have plenty of questions
and this isn't english class it's a forum about cb7's so let the petty stuff go

The "it's not an English class" argument doesn't work around here. We get that it's not. However, you're attempting to communicate using the English language and you're asking for a TON of help from those who know better than you. Show them some respect by caring to word yourself better and people will be more inclinded to give you help. Otherwise, you're giving both the message that you're incapable of finding easily-obtained answers and you're okay with us having to work harder to understand your word vomit.

And the purpose of a forum this old and organized is to be THE resource for all information relating to these cars. You're not allowing it to provide that service by immediately asking questions right after your first search attempt.

If you want to find something. Use google. For example.

Cb7tuner.com 6th gen cluster, and most likly your results will come up.

Ya dude not starting off on the right foot.

It may seem childish or nit picking, but it is how things operate around here and it's for good reason.

I wont harp on the grammar and punctuation because it speaks for itself.

As far as searching, you're right, no one can prove how much you have searched, but we have been here for quite a while, and when people put in real effort, they usually find what they need. Trust me it exists, this forum has been around since 2003...EVERYTHING relating to 4th gen Accords, is here.

Like F20 said, sometimes it is easier to crawl the forum through Google. That's a great tip!

I would just keep searching and see what you can get.

The major reason we stress searching over making threads asking for help, is that a lot of times the next new guy will search and then find your thread which may or may not help him....

so if we minimize that, it will make it easier for new guys to find the stuff they want and not 100 threads asking how to find it.

There's a lot of stuff I can't find. I use google like Deev said, and 9times outta 10 what I was looking for will come up.

it's understandable and i can try with better punctuation and what not, a lot of it is bad habits. i wasn't trying to come off as lazy my search technique just wasn't working and i wasn't getting the results that i wanted and leaving my questions unanswered.
as i get more familiar with how to do things i'll be better at finding my answers, like i said i think i was being too specific with some of my searches so i got very limited answers and they weren't what i was searching for more so people listing parts on their car when i was looking for a diy thread

Next time you are searching for something specific, use a few words. Then if nothing pops up, use 1 less word, and so on..
For example, if you wondering what legend lip fits your car, type in: acura legend lip 93 fitment. nothing pops up, try: legend lip 93 fit. and so on. Sometimes you have to be basic with the search function. Or use google as F20A_CB7 suggested.
