ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Anyone painted their valve cover?

Has anyone painted their valve cover? If so, what kind of paint did you use and how did you do it? I thought about doing this or is it a bad idea?

    You are killing me dude.

Here is a FRICKIN DIY on it.

    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...ht=Valve+Cover

All I did was go to search at the top of the screen>Leftside typed in Valve Cover and searched only in titles and this came up.

Gotta learn to use the search bro.

    Welcome to the board.

you didnt offend anyone, its just that some of the people on ere get tired with answering the same questions every day. If you would search before you post most of the time you will find what you need and then some.
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

dont waste your time on painting it, the color will eventually chip off, spend the extra money and have it powder coated, looks way better and doesnt chip off.

okay BUT most people do not prepp it well enough for the paint to stay on for a LONG time. for someone that doesnt have painting experence i would have to say powder coating its the way to go. AND they could go that pretty sparkle color you have there as well.

Painting a valve cover is not good for your engine. The paint will cause the motor oil to stick to the valve cover and carburize all over it and sludge will build up in the valve cover and eventually will seize your valvetrain causing your engine to die.

WHAT??? are you talking about the inside of the valve cover? because even your stock valve cover is painted/ powder coated? And there are plenty of people with painted or pc valve covers and ive never herd of this problem.
