ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Has anyone changed to LED headlight bulbs lately?

I'm probably going to go to LED bulbs.. it's kind of a "if you can't beat them, join them" sort of deal. Some are better than others, I know. I put some Auxito bulbs in my box truck almost 2 years ago, and they aren't too hard on oncoming traffic. If you put some in your CB7 lately, let me know, thanks!

Anyone doing this is a asshole in my opinion. Just no consideration for others.I will high beam the F out of you.

But I'm also in Canada where it's just now starting to be a real pain (especially with OEM vehicles.). It's not safe.

I put some Fahren LED into my Odyssey and it's been good for 2 years. Easy install. I don't like the look of HID and LED in reflector housing - never looked right to me.

100%. Our headlight housings were not designed with HID's or LEDs in mind. If you're not retrofitting to a projector, then slapping in bright LED's just makes you an asshole.

100% this. The "brighter" appearance you see is because you have a ton of foreground light without much in terms of distance. The very design of an LED drop-in replacement bulb makes it a poor choice for use in headlamps.

If you want to improve the performance of the Accord which uses a 9006 bulb, look into a 9012 HIR bulb as it will give you a significant boost in performance while being the correct setup for a halogen assembly.

Some light reading on the topic.

If you have properly aimed OEM LED assemblies (as I have in my Tacoma) the light output is unreal without being blinding, but if you don't have LED assemblies you're actually reducing your perfomance.

I got another set of Auxitos from Amazon, they're going in next week. Like I said, I have a set of these in my work truck, a 2014 International Durastar, and they have greatly enhanced the range, and they aren't obnoxiously bright to oncoming traffic. Hopefully I get the same results in the Accord.
