ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    SE information?

I found a 1991 SE on craigslist for fairly cheap. I tried searching, but i couldn't really find anything on them. Tried wiki too, but you know how that goes. I'm really just interested in the differences between them and DX/LX/EX.
    Thank you.

I'm sure searching will get you answers, but since I'm bored...

The 1991 SE has all the features of the EX, with a few things added:
    -Factory Leather
    -Automatic Only
    -Special Colors
    -ABS
    -Leather Steering Wheel
    -different alloy wheels
-F22A6 engine with 10 more horsepower over EX (total of 140).

That's all I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure there are some other differences. I'll let other members pitch in.

Yeah, I knew they all came with A/T, leather, and f22a6, but I thought the 1991 SE came with the 90-91 EX wheels.

But I didn't know about the ABS or the special colors. What colors were these?

Eh, owned by wiki again. I guess I didn't read thoroughly enough the first time.
            Thanks guys.

Do you think $1700 is too much for a 91 SE with 182k? The body looks cleaner than any cb I've seen for sale though. Although, now that I think about it, there are no pictures of the left side.....

I stand corrected. The 1991 SE had regular EX alloy wheels.

$1700 is a good deal if the car has been well-maintained. If the body is clean, I'd probably offer $1400 and go from there.

I was thinking the same thing. I really wanted a 5 speed coupe, though, but they're kind of hard to find. I think this one will do nicely though. I've never actually seen an SE with my own eyes.
But thanks again guys. I think I've got my heart set on this one.

You can convert to 5 speed easily enough.

Just for clarify, ALL A6s were 140 horse.

The A4 came on 90-91 models with EX trim. So 10 more horses then an A4.

Also all SE sedans were made in japan.

I think the 91 Se's had the infamous black leather.

My 93 Se had ivory leather.

If I get it, then I'll probably just leave it auto and buy a 5spd coupe later.
I would definitely do it, though, but I'm not sure if I have the skills.

The solaris silver 91 SE came standard w/ black leather interior, the other color was green (can't recall name) and came w/ tan leather. Also, had rear disk brakes. Being made in japan, they have alot more nippon denso parts instead of nippon seiki for the ohio made cbs.

I'm supposed to be getting a SS 91 SE really soon aswell, 80K miles, 1 owner, garaged, very good shape overall, very excited

1991 SE. Two colors were available: Solaris Silver Metallic with Graphite Black interior and Brittany Blue Metallic with Ivory interior. Unlike previous editions, the 1991 SE was not equipped with uniquely styled alloy wheels but instead carried the less distinctive EX model wheels.
