ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Wow.This is the first rear mount turbo picture I have ever seen and its causing me to think creatively, thats awsome. All kinds of benifit to rear mount turbo I have never considered. Aside from theft and deer carcassas rear is probly better than in the engine bay.
I would guess a porche muffler is where you would start but I personally would leave it mufflerless. You will only restrict flow. I would also consider the pre compressor turbulance of a resonator. A biiiig turbo should muffle the sound a little more though.

I'm in for photos and videos! Would you mind taking a video of idle outside the car, and a few throttle stomps from outside the car (or maybe a run at a nearby strip )?

I'm interested to know how the bottom end is holding up under 10psi. How many miles were on that F23 when you put the block in?

He's probably not coming back. Our last interaction was regarding a bad experience he had on the Facebook group, and he says he's no longer interested in being a part of this community.

Well, that sucks, dang group! I guess that goes to show how groups and other things claiming to represent CB7Tuner but are not endorsed/affiliated with this site can do damage.

            Cursed facebook......

It was the "official" group. Still not a nice place, and the guys running it are pretty close to their breaking point. We're working on getting things under control, but it's rather difficult. Keeping that group organized and civil is like trying to raise hyperactive quintuplet teenagers on cocaine and steroids.

Well that really sucks that it ended in a bad way.

Agreed. Steve had some cool stuff going on. I'd liked to have learned more about his projects. There aren't many people trying new things lately, other than "trying out" the cheap Chinese crap found on ebay (apparently bolting on the latest set of $300 coilovers is what passes for ingenuity these days.)
He has his rear-mount turbo setup, which is cool. He also says he has done, or is working on, a B series transmission swap. I'm curious to see how he went about doing it.

Perhaps he'll come back, when he realizes that the forum is a vastly different place than the Facebook group.

Oh wow, I just noticed he fed the air filter in to the trunk. I was just thinking "how did he keep the filter protected from elements." Doh!

Hey everyone, thanks for all the comments. Yes, done with the Facebook page. I'll still be here as time permits. The car has undergone some serious changes, and really does need a proper write up.

Wow man this car is so awesome! I love the setup and I love the idea of doing something just to see if it will work. That is where all the truly genius ideas come from. Someone saying I wonder if this will work... Anyway great car!
