ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Belated introduction

A lot of guys are doing introduction threads, so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. I'm one of the OG's. (Old Guys.) My name's Adam and I'll be 35 later this month. I was a huge gearhead when I was a teenager, but got turned away from it by a well-meaning uncle who got me into computers. That never really did anything for me, but fortunately, I never lost my knack for engines. In the summer of '05, I finally decided computers were boring the hell out of me and got a job at a large Harley dealership. I basically got the job without question because I had some background in retail, so I knew how to work with customers, and a broad base in general mechanical knowledge. (I was a half-step away from going to Wyoming Tech right out of high school for auto tech.)

I've also been a dyed-in-the-wool 4x4 guy for a long time, but the fuel mileage was beating me up. 13mpg doesn't work well with a 20+ mile commute 5 days a week and long hauls to do photography on my days off. Here's my old ride below:

With that in mind, I started looking for a small car, and found a 93 EX Coupe almost immediately. I knew even before going to look at it that I was going to buy it, and almost had to beat another guy off it with a stick while I was doing the paperwork!

The car only had 80,916 miles on it when I bought it, and had been very well taken care of by both of its previous owners. The second owner wasn't ENTIRELY vigilant, though. The car is starting to show a bit of rust on the quarters just above the rear bumper which has been covered over by some self-adhesive black rubber trim. It had also been in a front end collision and had the hood replaced. This was apparently only to be the first. I've since had two more collisions in the car, both with deer. I've almost gathered all the parts to fix it, and work will commence as soon as the weather warms enough. I'll also be adding a few additions of my own. (Please see my MRT for details! )

Any questions, feel free to ask! I'm a personable guy!
