ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

      i have a sentece for you.

      "TAS AUTO and a Haynes manual. "

      you could go to that site order the regulator for your window and install it yourself for less than 90 bucks shipped.

        This is nothing that you can't do yourself for the cost of parts and an hour of your time. There is a diy around here that I'll see if I can dig up for ya.

            i knew it was high.. I just called the Honda shop here in town and they said

            regulator = $91.18
            motor = $256.57
            and $145 for the labor.. LOL

            I'm pretty sure I don't need a new motor for it... just the regulator.. it goes down about an inch and then starts that wonderful clicking/griding sound.

                            The Genuine Honda parts are quite expensive. Even from TASauto they're about $300. You can get a full aftermarket assembly for about $75-$100 if you shop around. I have 2 aftermarket ones, and I'm less than happy with the performance... but they do work.

                            If you want it done right, that quote is actually pretty fair, if they're using Honda parts. If you want it done cheap, and working... somewhat... You can get off for a 3rd of that price and do it yourself. The installation is fairly easy.

                              I was talking to my dad and he said pretty much the same thing.. we took it to the honda shop just to get a regulator so I could do it my self and my dad said "just let them do it" so I'm like.. pssh aight then they call like 45 minutes later and said I need the motor too! WTF?! so I'm about to pull the plug on the whole thing and say forget it because its like 500 for everything.. and theres no way I wanted to pay that much. Then my dad says "don't worry about it". This is awesome.. I'm getting my window fixed with honda parts.. and I don't have to pay a dime.

                              And before you call me spoiled because my dad picked up the check.. I usually pay for all my repairs but for some reason he said don't worry about it. So I'm stoked!
